Rolex and power tools: police search for owners of stolen items in South Lakes

Police are searching for owners of a Rolex watch and stolen power tools in the South Lakes area.

The items were seized and are believed to have been taken during the burglaries.

Many recovered tools bear identification marks and serial numbers.

Agents are now trying to locate their owners and ask people to provide details of identifying marks or distinguishing features.

A 43-year-old woman and a 49-year-old man were arrested in connection and released under investigation.

A Cumbria Police spokesperson said: “Detectives are seeking information on numerous items which have been seized and which are believed to have been taken during burglaries in the Southern Lakes region.

“Many of the recovered tools have identification marks and serial numbers.

“Before contacting, please write down any information that might help agents identify the correct owner. This includes the date your tools were stolen and details such as serial numbers, identifying marks or distinguishing features. .

“A 43-year-old woman and a 49-year-old man were arrested in connection and released under investigation.”

Anyone who identifies any of these or has information relating to any of these can report online here, citing incident number 103 of 27e September 2021. They can also call 101.

Alternatively, information can be reported anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
