Jacqueline Watkins obituary (1960 – 2021) – Beverly Hills, FL

Jacqueline “Jacqui” Watkins, 61 of Beverly Hills, Florida, passed away peacefully on Saturday evening, November 13, 2021, at her home with her family and a hospice nurse by her side. Jacqui was predeceased by her mother, Cecile Meyers, her father Maurice Giroux, her brother David Giroux and her stepfather, John Meyers, Sr. She is survived by her husband, John Schaeffer, her son Matthew Watkins and his wife Jamie , his brother Dr Robert Giroux and his wife Katherine, sister Margaret “Peggy” Dewey, brother Fredd Giroux and wife Sharon, twin sister Kathy Ableman and several nieces and nephews.
Jacqui was born July 8, 1960 in Troy, NY and moved to Beverly Hills, Florida in 2004. She received an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice and was the proud owner-operator of Meyers & Wheelers Locksmith, LLC, during over the past 15 years. Jacqui helped her stepfather, John C. Meyers, Sr. for many years, then, upon retirement, acquired the business. Jacqui then bought Wheelers Locksmith in 2014 and combined the two companies to create Meyers & Wheelers Locksmith, LLC, serving Citrus County and surrounding areas.
When you first met Jacqui you knew she was sincerely dedicated to her business, providing “peace of mind” with the safety of children and adults and the protection of the home. She received several “Best of the Best” and “Honorary Mention” (Sponsored Column) and was very proud to have been selected each time. She was a chamber and active member of the Citrus Business Network, a life member of the Inverness Lion’s Club and a very involved business partner of the Citrus County Estate Agents Association (RACC).
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Jacqui’s family are requesting that due to their passion for local charities, all donations be made in Jacqui’s name to the Inverness Lion’s Club or a local charity of your choice.
