Donald “Red” E. Triebold went to join Lord on March 3, 2022 at the age of 85. He passed away peacefully with his family by his side. We will miss him terribly.
Don reunites with the love of his life, his wife Mary. He was the proud father of Sue (Bob) Schwarz, Julie (Frank) Bensema, Mark (Carolyn) Triebold, Karen (Scott) Mardirosian, Maribeth (Jimmy) Quinn. His greatest legacy is his grandchildren Tyler, Ryan, Austin, Moriah, Sean, Kevin, Cole, Eric, Brett, Kyle and Karli and a great grandfather of Ethan and Addison with two more on the way. He was the “big brother” of his sister Antoinette “Toni” (Richard) Malik.
“Don was a sheet metal worker by trade. Did you know he served in the military with Elvis? He was also one of the founding fathers of the Travel Softball League “The SPARKS” of Orland Park, IL. Don loved sharing a great meal, the game of golf and Smooth Jazz was always on the radio.”
“Don lived a life of loyalty, devotion and love. He gave back to his community, he encouraged love and light in his family and showed kindness and compassion to all those he he met. His life was to imitate, to celebrate and to remember.”
