Screen Media has acquired all North American rights to “The Locksmith,” an upcoming action-thriller starring Ryan Phillippe, Kate Bosworth and Ving Rhames.

The film was directed by Nicolas Harvard, a seasoned first assistant director whose credits include “Hell or High Water” and “Whiplash.” It marks his debut as a director. Screen Media is planning a daily, theatrical and on-demand release later this year.

In “The Locksmith,” Miller (Phillippe), an ex-con recently released from prison for a botched robbery, tries to walk a straight line and get back into the life of his ex, Beth (Bosworth), a police detective , and their young daughter. Miller tries to avoid falling back into the underworld with the help of an old friend (Rhames). However, he discovers that his past won’t stay in the past, forcing him to commit one last crime before he can truly walk away.

Phillippe’s credits include ‘Crash’ and ‘Cruel Intentions’, Bosworth is best known for her work in ‘Superman Returns’ and ’21’, and Rhames has appeared in ‘Pulp Fiction’ and the ‘Mission: Impossible’ franchise. “The Locksmith” is produced by Mark David and Roger Goff, co-produced by Brandon David and Gordon Rausser and produced by Daniel Cummings, Walter Josten, Chris LaMont, Joe Russo and Caleb Wilson. The screenplay is written by John Glosser, Russo and LaMont, and Ben Kabialis. It is based on an original story by Blair Kroeber.

“It’s a real honor to have Screen Media behind this film as a theatrical release,” Harvard said. “Having them as partners from the start gave us the confidence to compose our shots and scenes for a big screen audience. It’s exciting to know that people are returning to multiplexes in droves. This film will not disappoint. .

“Director Nicolas Harvard has crafted a clever crime thriller that delivers what audiences expect from a heist movie, then goes above and beyond,” Screen Media said in a statement. “Ryan Phillippe, Ving Rhames and Kate Bosworth take the film to surprising new heights, and we’re sure viewers will be locked in from the start.”

The deal was brokered by Seth Needle, executive vice president of global acquisitions and co-productions, on behalf of Screen Media with Lina Marrone, executive vice president of international sales at Arclight Films, which handles worldwide distribution rights to “The Locksmith”.

Danish locksmith Jesper Jørgensen has installed SALTO access control on over 10,000 doors since he started his career in 2007. Working for Danish installer SALTO, Bagger Låse & Alarm, he may be the SALTO installer the most experienced in Denmark.

“I don’t think there are other locksmiths in Denmark who have installed more SALTO units than me. And I never get tired of it, because even though it turned out to be several hundred locking systems per year, fortunately I only meet satisfied customers,” Jørgensen said.

Suitable for most buildings, SALTO access control systems are also easy to use and provide an excellent security solution for various environments, he added.

A great system for almost any building

“SALTO is a great access control system for businesses, housing associations, schools, nursing homes, and other places where you want to know who has access to interior and exterior doors,” noted Jørgensen.

Ease of use

SALTO is the most popular access control system for many installers and customers in Denmark, and there are several good reasons for that, according to Jørgensen.

“First and foremost, SALTO is extremely user-friendly. It’s incredibly easy to control who should have access and when doors should be opened or locked. It just works very well.

Reasonably priced security

SALTO is also very easy to install. SALTO offline SVN escutcheons can be mounted on existing doors, and there is no need to wire or connect the doors through a complicated wiring system.

“With SALTO access control, therefore, I find it possible to secure buildings at a reasonable price compared to other locking systems,” Jørgensen said.

Growing demand for access control

Denmark is seeing a marked increase in demand for automatic locking systems.

“The demand has been steadily increasing since I started installing SALTO units in 2007. I have installed access control on many doors and buildings, but now I am also seeing an increase in the number of customers wishing to secure, for example, cupboards, letterboxes or medicine cabinets, and SALTO also offers many simple and user-friendly solutions for this,” says Jørgensen.

SALTO is used as an access control system in many businesses, housing associations, schools, hotels, colleges, hospitals and other public buildings. Over the past year, approximately 35,000 SALTO units have been installed in Denmark.

Danish distributor SALTO Sanistål listed several advantages of SALTO access control:

  • User-friendly software for managing key fobs or key cards
  • Quick overview of badges and associated access rights
  • Can be installed on existing doors
  • Easy to remove lost key fobs
  • Easy creation of new key rings
  • The key card can be used for payment in canteens or similar establishments

Julianne Hough is back on the acting scene after a break from the spotlight at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Hough was candid PEOPLE about life before making his Broadway debut with “POTUS: Or, Behind Every Great Idiot, Seven Women Try to Keep Him Alive”.

The “Dancing With The Stars” pro took a break from Hollywood when the pandemic hit and devoted her time to finding herself. She says:

“I tried to use this break as a time for personal growth and reconnecting with my friends and family and, most importantly, myself.”

After some soul-searching, Hough peacefully left her marriage to former hockey star Brooks Laich. The couple married in 2017, divorced in May 2020 and finalized their separation in February. She explained:

“You think about what’s important and what you’ll have left at the end of your life. [It’s important to] clear space for you to put your energy and heart into the things you are truly passionate about.

The ‘Safe Haven’ actress is positive about her future and getting better every day. She springs:

“My heart is open. I lead with love but I’m not necessarily looking for anything. I focus on the things that make me happy… I focus on being the best version of myself. I am delighted to be in this state of openness.

Speaking of things that make her happy, Hough is having a blast on “POTUS.” She praised the show for giving women the opportunity to be more than one thing.

The “Footloose” actress, who plays Dusty, a farm girl who’s more than she looks, noted that she no longer feels the need to prove her worth now that she’s older.

Hough opened up about moving to New York to get a fresh start with her new work on Broadway with an all-female cast including Vanessa Williams and Rachel Dratch. She springs:

“It’s been a dream of mine – not just to be part of a show like this, but to be part of the Broadway community. I really feel like a brotherhood. They really showed me what it’s like. ‘friendship.

“POTUS: Or, Behind Every Big Fool, Seven Women Try to Keep Him Alive” opened in April and will run through August.

The show, which tackles a variety of modern topics including abortion, picked up three Tony nominations on Monday, May 9.

The Blast revealed Hough’s divorce was finalized in court on Feb. 22, 2022. The former couple released a joint statement about their split, saying they had lovingly and carefully decided to go their separate ways. The message continued and read:

“We share an abundance of love and respect for each other and will continue to lead with our hearts from this place. We ask that you please show compassion and respect for our privacy in the future.

In the spirit of leading with love and living a happy life, Hough bought a new home after her separation from Laich.

the explosion revealed that the owner had uploaded a instagram photo of her sitting on the floor of the new location in a pretty white dress and black socks.

Hough styled her hair in a messy bun and stared into the distance as a cup of coffee and a bottle of wine sat beside her. She noted that this was her first time sleeping on the property, typing:

“Living in NYC – first night in my house, had to pick up a locksmith at 2am, no furniture, drinking my @freshvinewine wine in my only cup of coffee and loving every minute.”

The ‘Dirty Grandpa’ star called her place next to the fireplace a space where she will contemplate her life and the next chapter. She springs:

“The cool thing is that I got to live the life of my dreams, to have family, friends old and new in my life who show each other and to have a new feeling of wonder in my eyes and my heart, that this empty house seems completely full!

A former soldier who broke into a home in County Donegal and changed the locks to squat in the house has been told to pay the landlord €100.

Erek Heffernan, 38, appeared in Letterkenny District Court following the incident at the Meadowbank Park home in Letterkenny last Saturday.

Garda Detective Michelle Kelly told the court she arrested Heffernan after the clash.

The court heard that Heffernan broke into the vacant house and changed the locks.

When Gardai arrived he refused to leave despite being an intruder.

A locksmith was called but Heffernan continued to refuse to leave and later resisted arrest before being arrested at 5:10 p.m.

The defendant’s solicitor, Mr Patsy Gallagher, said his client had been in the military but was “honourably discharged” on medical grounds.

He moved to Donegal to find solace and although he was at first in rented accommodation, his health had deteriorated.

Mr Gallagher said his time in police custody over the past two days had “leveled” him.

Judge Patricia Cronin heard that Heffernan had accommodation with her sister in Kildare.

Mr Gallagher said his client was seeking military treatment.

She adjourned the case until June 13 to allow time to pay €100 in compensation for damage to the house.

If this is not paid, Judge Cronin said she would impose a fine of €200 on the accused.

Fort Campbell’s civilian employees are an integral part of the Army’s mission, providing support services and improving the quality of life for Soldiers and families across the installation.

Many of these employees will be recognized for their efforts at 11:30 a.m. May 17 at the Wilson Theater during the 64th Annual Civilian Employee of the Year Awards, “A Red Carpet Affair.”

“The Army civilians who are nominated in each category for Civilian Employee of the Year are our best and brightest,” said Leslie Herlick, Training Program Coordinator, Directorate of Training Integration , Directorate of plans, training, mobilization and security. “The Civilian of the Year program is just one way we can recognize these exceptional members of our team. »

There are 42 individual nominees and four teams competing for the awards, and winners will be honored in each of 11 categories: administrative/specialist; technician; first-line supervisor; disability; leader; trades and crafts A; trades and crafts B; manager; professional/scientific; secretarial/administrative assistant/office worker and team.

The supervisors submitted their nominees to a selection committee, which will choose the winners in each category based on a scoring system.

The committee is made up of union representatives and organizational leaders from across the facility.

“It feels good when an organization sees the things you’ve done collectively with your crew and decides to thank you for it,” said Captain Josh May, supervising firefighter, Emergency Services Branch. “That’s part of the reason you put so much effort into things, and that’s one way of seeing the outcome.”

May was nominated in the Frontline Supervisor category for his work with the Fort Campbell Fire and Emergency Services. He wanted to support a military installation because of his experience as an Air Force firefighter and has served with FCFES for the past 14 years.

“There’s a lot of paperwork we have to do with performance reports and emails in addition to ongoing calls, which can range from one or two to 20 depending on what’s going on around the post office” , did he declare. “What gives me energy and love for this job is knowing that when someone is going through their darkest hour, I have the opportunity to make their life a little bit better, to reassure or help him when needed.”

Other candidates are working behind the scenes to maintain essential services, such as Lee Woodward, information technology specialist, Regional Network Enterprise Center.

“I’m responsible for providing the network at Fort Campbell and everything people do on their computers has to go through that,” said Woodward, who is nominated in the administration/specialist category. “I don’t fix computers, but I run the network so they can do what they have to do.”

Woodward started working with the RNEC in 2015 after spending a year as a contractor, and before that he served nearly nine years in the military as an information systems operator. He quickly developed a bond with Fort Campbell and wanted to remain involved in the community after leaving the service.

“This is the closest major facility to my family where I grew up in Indiana,” he said. “I happened to be posted here, and my military career allowed me to stay here all the time. I’ve been providing network services for a while for different organizations, and it’s kind of nice to be recognized for what you do.

Jennifer Rasmussen, a locksmith with the Public Works Branch, said she was shocked to receive her own nomination but grateful for the recognition. She has worked with DPW for three years and is responsible for installing many of the locks found in the facility.

“We work with the soldiers on a regular basis and we are their frontline physical security in terms of their work and the way they live in the barracks,” said Rasmussen, who is a Category B nominee for trades and craft. “We’re a little neglected, and people only contact us if they can’t get into a building or whatever, but we work with other stores about as much as we do with soldiers to make sure that security physical is taken. care of.

Rasmussen began practicing locksmithing after 9/11 while her husband was deployed to Afghanistan with the Rakkasan. The two stayed in the area after she left the service, and she jumped at the chance to apply for her current position once it opened.

“We decided to stay here at Fort Campbell and build a life for ourselves, so I’m helping support as best I can,” she said. “I felt like as a civilian I had to do my part, and I feel like the military is part of my life even though I’ve never been on active duty.”

Herlick said the Civilian Employee of the Year awards help the facility attract and retain high-performing employees, as well as the teams that help them support the mission.

“The firefighters I oversee and others who are assigned to the same job as me are the reason I can be successful,” May said. “They take a lot of work and weight off my plate so I can do the things I need to do, but I also give them the time and space to think outside the box. When they succeed, I succeed, and it’s a direct reflection of that.

Gandhis on vacation, party in decadence: Barkha Dutt https://forjaibi.com/gandhis-on-vacation-party-in-decadence-barkha-dutt/ Sun, 01 May 2022 05:43:00 +0000 https://forjaibi.com/gandhis-on-vacation-party-in-decadence-barkha-dutt/ Prashant Kishor is a rare political being. Prashant Kishor is a rare political being. While most people talk to reporters in confidence about how they really feel about their competitors or potential allies, “PK” is unique for everything it reveals on record. For example, long before his 600 “slides for change” plan was leaked, he told me in a recent interview how Congress could learn from the BJP’s model of separating who leads the party from who is the candidate for the post of Prime Minister. “Even a stand employee can become [party] president, that is the message when someone like JP Nadda leads the BJP,” Kishor said.

He was also pragmatic about what made Narendra Modi win again and again – a combination of personality cult, nationalism, Hindutva and welfarism.

The failure of Congress to induct Kishor – and worse, to admit that they were the ones who were voted out – is not a matter of whether or not you are convinced of the political value of PK. It doesn’t matter if you’re a KP fan or a skeptic, these debates will continue well into 2024. What’s indisputable is the belated, flippant, and unserious manner in which Congress has responded for a party at grave risk of to be annihilated. away from the electoral landscape of the country.

Congress supporters can hardly argue that they did not see the merit or value of Prashant Kishor. Because otherwise, why would their leaders spend weeks urging him to become a member of Congress. Given this, what could possibly justify their “committee” approach to change?

It’s the equivalent of looking for a locksmith when the opponent is about to break down your door.

And, if politics is war, Congress is betrayed by its generals. The announcement of Kishor’s refusal to join the Congress should be considered alongside another fact: the two Gandhi siblings are out of India on personal vacation. Nothing reflects the denial or entitlement of family leaders more than the stays at the most critical time and in the face of the 24/7 politics of Narendra Modi and Amit Shah. As someone from the PK camp joked, “It gives a glimpse of what would have happened if he had joined the party. He would have been the scapegoat for chess while the brother and sister were on vacation.

From Prashant Kishor’s perspective, the “thank you, but no thank you” stemmed from the assessment that he would not have a free hand to make big changes. The establishment of several committees reflected what Kishor described as “incremental change and low-hanging fruits”. Those in the know confirm that the party remained opposed to structural changes and that the leadership continued to be loath to nip infighting in the bud. The results of these infighting were there for all to see in the unraveling party campaign in Punjab and the ensuing decimation.

Prashant Kishor is right. More than him, the party must recover from living in the past. He needs to get rid of his delusional belief that one day the voter will tire of Modi and fall back on the government’s default party, Congress. And, he has to accept that the Gandhi family is the problem; not the solution.

Congress leaders have repeatedly described Sonia Gandhi and her children as the glue that holds the party together.

If so, that’s the glue that keeps them stuck in the past with no future to speak of.
